Materials: Paton's Bohemian
Scarf: 2 balls (62 m each)
Hat: 1 ball
6.5 mm knitting needles for scarf and hat
Instructions are given for small size hat, medium & large sizes are in brackets
Hat:
Cast on loosely 42(44,46). Knit 8" in st-st.
Shape crown:
Row 1: K6, K2tog K4(K5,K2tog, K7, K2tog) repeat around, K0(K2, K1)
2nd and alternate rows Purl
Row 3: K5, K2tog (K4,K2tog, K6, K2tog) repeat around, K0(K2, K1).
Row 5: K4, K2tog(K3, K2tog, K5, K2tog) repeat around, K0 (K2, K1)
Row 7: K3, K2tog (K2, K2tog, K4, K2tog) repeat around, K0 (K2, K1).
Row 9: K2, K2tog (K2, K2tog, K3, K2tog) repeat around, K0 (K2, K1).
Row 11: K1, K2tog (k1, K2tog, K2, K2tog) repeat around, K0 (K2, K1).
Last Row: thread yarn through remaining 7(9,8) stitches and fasten off.
Scarf:
Cast on 18 st. Knit every row (garter stitch).
On last row: knit 16 st, drop the last 2 st. off the needle. Turn.
Cast off 14 st, secure yarn, drop the last 2 st. off the needle.
Gently hook out side loops from dropped stitches down both sides of the scarf to form the loops from beginning to end.
