STITCH GLOSSARY
C2B = Knit into front of 2nd stitch on left hand needle, then knit 1st stitch, slipping both sts off needle.
C2F = Knit into back of 2nd stitch on left hand needle, then knit 1st stitch, slipping both sts off needle.
C4F = Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.
C4B = Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.

**With set of 4 double pointed smaller needles, cast on 36 sts. Divide sts onto 3 needles (12 sts on each needle). Join in rnd. Place marker on first st.
1st rnd: (RS). *K1. P1. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K1. P1) ribbing for 2½ ins [6 cm].**
Change to larger needles and proceed as follows:
1st rnd: K7. (M1. K1) 4 times. Knit to end of rnd. 40 sts.
2nd rnd: K5. Work 1st row in Panel Pat E. Knit to end of rnd.
Panel Pat E is now in position.
Work in pat for 7 rnds more.
Shape thumb gusset: 1st rnd: Pat 22 sts. Inc 1 st in each of next 2 sts. Knit to end of rnd.
2nd and alt rnds: Work even in pat.
3rd rnd: Pat 22 sts. Inc 1 st in next st. K2. Inc 1 st in next st. Knit to end of rnd.
