Contrast B (16308 Pale New Lilac) 2 balls
Contrast C (16309 New Lilac) 2 balls
Contrast D (16310 Rich New Lilac) 2 balls
Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) circular knitting needle 40 ins [101.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain tension.
TENSION: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS
With MC, cast on 209 sts. Do not join.
Working back and forth across needle, proceed as follows:
1st to 8th rows: With MC and beg with a knit row, work in stocking st (knit on RS and purl on WS). Do not break MC.
9th row: With A, knit.
10th row: With A, purl. Break A.
11th row: *With MC, K1. With B, K1. Rep from * to last st. With MC, K1.
12th row: *With B, P1. With MC, P1. Rep from * to last st. With B, P1. Break MC.
13th row: With D, knit.
14th row: With D, purl. Break D.
15th to 20th rows: With B, work in stocking st.
21st row: With MC, knit.
22nd row: With MC, purl. Do not break MC.
23rd to 26th rows: As 11th to 14th rows.
27th to 32nd rows: With A, work in stocking st. Break A.
33rd to 36th rows: As 11th to 14th rows.
37th to 42nd rows: With C, work in stocking st. Break C.
43rd to 46th rows: As 11th to 14th rows.
Rep last 46 rows 6 times more.
Next 8 rows: With MC, work in stocking st. Cast off.
Side Edging: With RS of work facing and MC, pick up and knit 215 sts along each side edge.
Knit 3 rows. Cast off knitwise.
Fringe: Cut A and C 14 ins [35.5 cm] long. Alt A and C, taking 6 strands tog, knot into fringe ¾ ins [1.5 cm] apart along cast on and cast off edges as shown in picture.
